The Ocean Course at Hokuala
No. 3 – Par 4
This medium-length par-4 ranks as the hardest handicap hole on the outward nine at The Ocean Course at Hokuala. A long series of four bunkers splits the fairway diagonally from the right as you approach the green, with the two more bunkers guarding the right and rear of the putting surface.
The slightly uphill approach is all carry, with the exception of pin positions in the front right of this relatively shallow green. Long and left provides a recovery chance that doesn’t include sand. You won’t feel as much wind on this sheltered fairway, but keep in mind that the trade winds above the trees blow from the right.
