This long, usually downwind hole features a water hazard in front of the tee and all along the right side. The elevated tee provides a good view of the target, with plenty of room short of the green to play safe or run up shots with longer clubs.

A bunker short and right protects weaker shots from finding the water, and another guards the left side of the green. The three men’s tees present a straight-on angle of attack to the very deep green, while the red tees on the other side of the hazard are offset to the left and actually create a difficult angle.

A steep hillside left of the green creates an awkward stance but is still better than finding the water on the right. However, players then face a challenging pitch shot over the left bunker to a green that slopes away and toward the water. This is a picturesque hole where par will gain a stroke on your competition more often than not.
