How would you play it?

Despite its moderate length, this is one of the more challenging holes on the course. Generally played into the wind, a tee shot out of a chute of trees must avoid water left and trees right. Ignore the temptation to draw your tee shot around the trees that jut out on the left edge of the fairway. They only mask a rough area of land and more water beyond.

Most players can go ahead and blast away, because it will take a big tee shot into the wind before you run out of fairway on this dogleg left hole. Light winds may bring a 3-wood back into consideration depending on your length off the tee.

The large green sits hard against the pond short and left, and angles from front right to back left. Pin positions in the left half of the green bring the water in front and rear bunkers into play. There is bailout room behind the green on the right, giving you the opportunity to err on the side of taking plenty of club.
